First Lady Dr. Leslie K. Youngblood is a wife, mother, and grandmother who gladly serves beside her husband, Bishop Ulysses J. Youngblood, Sr. Together; they have a vision to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to improve the well-being of all people and to provide programs that will enhance the entire being.

She firmly believes in the power of God.  As a Registered Nurse, Leslie graduated from Sacred Heart University and earned an M.S. in Nursing Education and a B.S. in Business Administration. Leslie also received her Doctorate of Nursing Practice degree from Regis College. As a Nursing Professor and a Consultant for early childhood learning centers, she has established a nonprofit, Life Health and Wellness Center, Inc., which takes a holistic approach to serving families in underserved communities.

The program's goal is to partner with colleges and local institutions, to serve as an educational site to train further and teach future nurses to provide population-focused care in Fairfield and New Haven counties.

Leslie firmly believes that “Christians are called to serve one another and the community with commitment and passion.”
